How to list items from eBay to Delcampe

How it work

Thanks to our proprietary system, it is possible to automatically publish items on Delcampe by taking all the data from your eBay shop.

Every 3 hours our system connects to your eBay shop and checks if new items have been added. If so, it will also publish the new items on Delcampe.

Since there is complete synchronization, every order arriving from eBay or Delcampe will cause stock to be placed on both sites. You won't have to do anything!

To obtain all this it is necessary to configure some parameters of the system. We have indicated below all the steps to take, reminding you that we are at yours provision in case something is not perfectly clear to you.

Creation of category correspondence table between eBay and Delcampe

This is a fundamental part for the perfect publication. We need to know the correspondence of the categories between your eBay store and Delcampe. To do this you need to download eBay category list. Once in your control panel, from the Categories menu choose "eBay Categories"

You then choose the eBay site where we have the published objects and the main category. Then click on the "Show Categories" button to view the list yes all the categories on eBay:

You will get a list similar to this:

At the bottom of the page, click on the "Export to Excel" button and we will be able to save the file with all the categories on our computer. We need this file as a template to create the correspondence of the eBay categories with those of Delcampe:

At this point we need to download the Delcampe category table. To do this, choose Delcampe Categories from the Categories menu:

Choose the Main Category like we did with eBay:

and then click on the "Show Categories" button to view the list of Delcampe categories on screen. As with eBay, at the bottom of the page click on the "Export to Excel" button to save the list of Delcampe categories on our computer. From this list we will have to take the codes of the categories to combine with the eBay ones.

At this point we need to create the excel file with the correspondence. This excel file must then be imported using a special function. It is recommended to pay the utmost attention when creating this correspondence table because the system uses it to publish objects on Delcampe. It is suggested to use the excel file of the eBay categories and add the Delcampe codes in column H.
Here you can see an example of the structure of the excel file to be used for importing the category matching:

In practice, the only operation required is to write the code obtained from the Delcampe category file downloaded for each eBay category. On average the work of creating this file needs about 2 hours. Upon request, we can supply a ready-made standard file.

Once the correspondence excel file has been created, we need to import it into the system. We therefore use the "Import Matching Categories" function of the Categories menu:

We must choose the excel file to import and then click on the "Send File" button:

If we need to make changes, it is possible to download the table with the matching of the categories by clicking on "Matching Categories" in the Categories menu:

Setup

From this menu we can configure some operating parameters necessary for publication.

Login to eBay

In order to manage orders arriving from eBay, so as to be able to download the item also sold by Delcampe, we need to know your login on eBay. To indicate it, from the Configuration menu choose "Operating Parameters":

Now click on the "Account" tab:

Insert the login you have on eBay and then click on the "Confirm" button



Price Calculator

It is possible to use different selling prices on Delcampe than the eBay price. To do this we have 3 parameters to configure. We access the entry form data using the "Price calculation" function from the Configuration menu:

We can configure the following parameters:
Exchange rate: if we advertise on Delcampe with a currency other than eBay's, we will put the exchange rate here. To keep the same price we put 1
Percentage increase: we can increase or decrease the prices of the items we publish on Delcampe by a fixed percentage. For example to increase the price by 5%, we put 5, to decrease it by 5% we put -5
Additional Amount: We may add or subtract a fixed amount to the eBay price. To add 1 euro, we put 1, to subtract one euro we put -1.

At the end, click on the "Confirm" button to record the calculation data.



A practical example:
We want to publish on Delcampe with an exchange rate of 1.2, increase it by 5% and then subtract 1 euro. In the 3 fields we will put:
1.20 under "Exchange rate"
5 under the heading "Increase Percentage"
-1 under the heading "Additional Amount"

Publication on Delcampe
Delcampe requires some parameters for correct publication. We can manage them by choosing the "Delcampe" item from the Publication menu



Shipping Fee

Delcampe requires you to indicate a shipping rate configured on the Delcampe panel. Therefore first a shipping rate must be created on your Delcampe panel and then yes use this function to choose it. If you want to use free shipping, you don't have to create any shipping rates on Delcampe as free shipping is available default. If, on the other hand, you have created a shipping rate, you must click on "Shipping rate" and then choose it from the list and then click on the "Confirm" button:

It is possible to choose in which currency to publish the cost of the objects between EUR, USD and GBP

Daily publication limit on Delcampe

Delcampe has a daily publication limit of 10,000 items. If you reach this limit you can no longer publish objects and you have to wait 24 hours from the last publication because the counter it resets. To keep the daily limit under control we have created this function that displays the number of items still publishable and the date/time of the return to level 10,000.

Access to the eBay and Delcampe sites

In order to synchronize the two systems, we need to have access to your eBay site and your Delcampe site.
You don't need to provide us with your login details, we use access via API.
The access keys must be entered before being able to start synchronizing the two services.


eBay
eBay requires explicit consent from the user. To provide this consent, we use the "Grant access to eBay" option from the Utilities menu



Grant access to eBay

Choose the eBay site where we have the items and click on Grant Access. We will be taken to the eBay site where we will have to enter our login and password to allow xdm.it to access their published objects.

Once you have granted access, we suggest you check that everything is fine. On the same page we have the control function:



Regrant access to eBay


If you've changed your password on eBay or received an email from us that your access will expire soon (access lasts 18 months, then must be renewed), use the function to reactivate or renew access. The operation is identical to that of granting first access.


Delcampe
To access Delcampe we need the API key that is provided by requesting the "API Pass" subscription on Delcampe.
To activate the API subscription, from the Delcampe control panel choose "My Store" and then "Modify my Subscriptions" and enable API Pass

Once entered, click on the "Confirm" button. For security reasons, we use the "Check Access" button to check that access to Delcampe has actually been granted
The configuration is finished!

Note: for the first publication on Delcampe, a summary check by an xdm.it technician is necessary because there could be some problems. For example, if you use a template from publication provided by eBay and in the description you have html code, buttons, images, etc., these cannot be published on Delcampe. In this case the description will be the same as the title. Therefore, once you have configured everything as indicated above, contact xdm.it via email. A technician will check everything and send you the status of your account via email. If everything is correct, publishing will begin. We remind once again that if you have more than 10,000 items on eBay, the publication will take place in blocks of 9,500 items per day
